Jilani

Verden's eastern province. Jilani is characterized by its dramatic scenery. Its coast is nearly all steep cliffs and swooping hills, which soon rise into jagged mountains, the highest of which are known to have snow year-round. The mountains are best surpassed by a trail down near Fjoer, and one right through the middle of the province, but some of the richest families have secluded homes up on the mountains' steep sides, many of which few people know about. The geography is protection enough for these homes, but the mountain lions, mountain goats and mountain eagles are also a startling protection in their own right.
